About these terms

These Website Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of laibrary.ai and the pages, content and features on it — including the “Ask Dewey” assistant, the resources and articles, and the contact form (together, the “Site”). The Site is operated by laibrary Inc., a Delaware corporation with its registered office at 8 The Green #10215, Dover, DE 19901, USA (“laibrary”, “we”, “us”).

By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. If you use the Site for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

The laibrary product is covered by a separate agreement

These Terms cover the public website only. Access to the laibrary platform at app.laibrary.ai, and to the machine interfaces at api.laibrary.ai — the product your organisation signs in to — is governed by the separate written agreement between laibrary and your organisation, such as a master subscription agreement and order form, not by these Terms. Nothing on this Site grants any right to use the product, and if these Terms and your organisation's agreement ever conflict about the product, that agreement controls.

Acceptable use

You may view and use the Site for your own information and to evaluate or contact laibrary. You agree not to:

• use the Site in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone's rights;
• copy, scrape, crawl or harvest the Site or its content beyond what an ordinary browser and our robots rules allow, or use it to build a competing or derivative dataset or service;
• probe, scan or overload the Site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or the systems behind it, or bypass any access or rate-limiting control;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code from the Site, except where the law expressly permits it;
• misuse the “Ask Dewey” assistant — for example to try to extract confidential information, to submit other people's personal data, or to generate unlawful, harmful or abusive content;
• remove or obscure any notice on the Site, or use the laibrary or Dewey names, logos or branding without our written permission.

The “Ask Dewey” assistant

Dewey is the website's assistant. It answers from a fixed set of published information about laibrary, and has no access to any customer's data or to the product's knowledge base. Its answers are for general information only, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and are not legal, regulatory, compliance or other professional advice. Do not rely on them for any decision, and do not submit confidential information or another person's personal data to it.

Intellectual property

The Site and its content — text, graphics, layout, articles, and the “laibrary” and “Dewey” names and logos — are owned by laibrary or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to view the Site in a browser for the purposes set out above.

You may not otherwise reproduce, distribute, modify, publish or create derivative works from the Site or its content without our prior written permission. You may share a link to a public page.

What you send us

If you send us information through the contact form or by other means, you confirm that it is accurate, that you are entitled to share it, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law. If you send us feedback or suggestions about laibrary, you agree we may use them freely, with no restriction or obligation to you. How we handle personal data you submit is set out in our Privacy notice.

Links to other sites

The Site may link to third-party websites or resources we do not control. We provide those links for convenience only, and we are not responsible for the content, products or practices of any third-party site. Using them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

No warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, laibrary makes no warranties of any kind about the Site, its content, the resources and articles, or the “Ask Dewey” assistant — including any warranty that they are accurate, complete, current, secure, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.

Nothing on the Site is an offer, a commitment, or professional advice, and nothing on the Site forms part of any contract for the laibrary product.

Limitation of liability

The Site is a free public website provided for information only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, laibrary has no liability to you arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the Site, its content, or the “Ask Dewey” assistant, or your inability to use any of them — whether the loss is direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential, including any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, and whether the claim is in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may change, suspend or withdraw the Site or any feature at any time, and we may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will update the date shown on this page; continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Site, are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.
